Series Capacitor Banks

A further initiative from ESKOM to strengthen the ‘Cape Corridor’ was to install 765 Series Capacitor Banks to increase the transfer capacity of the lines to the Cape Region.

MegaHVT has provided Engineering resources to ABB Sweden # to commissioning three 765kV double and single segment Capacitor Banks at BETA, ALPHA, MERCURY and PERSEUS Substations. The project included site supervision, testing and commissioning.
