MegaHVT in 2010 took on the challenging task in the DRC for Katanga mine (Copper Belt), area when we secured a substation refurbishment contract for the three 120kV Substations Luilu, KADI and KOV.
The scope of work included the design, supply, construction, commissioning, dismantling of old equipment and the installation of new equipment. New Protection and SCADA Control Systems were designed and implemented at each Substation. We have extended our services into supplying and Installing Fire Protection at these Substations.We have since then opened up a MegaHVT Branch n Kolwezi to increase our support in the region.
